Abbreviations : K = Knit - K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together - P = Purl - R = row - St(s) = Stitch(es)

 Materials : 50 gr of Lambswool by Phildar, color Ecru – A little black wool – Knitting needles 2,5 mm – 20 cm of red satin ribbon.

 Gauge : 31 sts x 45 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4’’x 4’’)

Hat : Cast on 75 sts. Worked in garter stitch.

R 1 - R 29 : Knit 29 rows.

R 30 : At 5 cm to totale height : *K4, K2tog*, repeat from * to* = 63 sts.

R 31 - R 35 : Knit 5 rows.

R 36 : *K3, K2tog *, repeat from * to* = 51 sts.

R 37 - R 39 : Knit 3 rows.

R 40 : *K2, K2tog *, repeat from * to* = 39 sts.

R 41 - R 43 : Knit 3 rows.

R 44 : *K1, K2tog *, repeat from * to* = 26 sts.

R 45 - R 46 : Knit 2 rows.

R 47 : Work the stitches 2 by 2 = 13 sts.

R 48 : Work the stitches 2 by 2 = 7 sts.

R 49 : Work the stitches 2 by 2 = 4 sts.

At 9 cm to totale height, fasten off.

Montage et finitions : Lightly iron your work. Pin, on the back, the back of the hat and sew them together. Weave in yarn ends. With black wool, to embroider the eyes, the nose and the moustaches (see photo). Tie the red satin ribbon and stick it on top of the hat (see photo).
